Finished Internship Project

For my internship I worked in many different places throughout the company and helped with many different things. I didn't have one large internship project I ended up just having a ton of small projects. One of the projects that I did that continued on throughout my entire internship was data collection. This was done at both sites and was really important to the company. It allowed them to understand what was happening within the reactor and show what worked best not only for gas production, but also maintaining good living conditions for the archaea. The data collection was very simple once you understood how to do it. On both sites I was collecting the same type of data, but in very different ways. The lab had machines to calculate the pH, optical density and ORP, but on site we had to use less exact ways of measuring such as pH strips. Other than the data collection I made small booklets and visual presentations for business meetings as well as organized and arranged photos for the up coming BioCat opening. Over all I am really glad I had multiple projects because it allowed me to learn about and help out every part of the company. I feel I was able to have more work and stay busy by not being stuck to one mentor, site or work area. I loved every where I worked and really enjoyed everyone I worked with, this internship has taught me a lot and I will miss it when I have to head home.
