Exhibiton Project
My partner and I decided to research poison ivy and poison oak, to learn the similarities and differences of the plants. Then writing ways people could help the rash heal, the chemical that causes the rash and ways they could remember the plant to help from getting the rash.
Here are is our final product:

Our final product had many good and bad things:
The good was that our final product gave people something to relate to and people were then able to tell stories about their interactions with the plant. We also gave them things that they could input into their lives with the ways to heal the rash and avoid the plant.
The bad was that our project was placed in a place where people didn't really seem to stop and listen or learn. I also feel we should have had more images and less writing allowing people to walk by and understand instead of having to stop and listen or read the entire poster.
I was able to learn a lot throughout this project such as:
The chemical that causes the irritation: urushiol
Ways to help the healing: Cold coffee, oatmeal or tea bath and many more
I also learned the difference between the plant: One is a shrub the other is a vine and can be found in different sides of North America.
