Self-advocacy

Throughout this internship I have not had a problem with self-advocacy. I find that the people I am working with are incredibly nice and easy to talk to making it not a problem to ask questions when needed. I was at first a little nervous to ask questions or seem unintelligent for asking a "stupid" question, but I found they didn't expect me to know the stuff I was learning right away and were always willing and happy to explain something to me when I needed it. So after the first day I became comfortable with asking questions and talking to the people around me. I know I wouldn't have the same experience or learn as much if the people working here hadn't been so incredibly nice and welcoming.

As an intern I feel I am doing a good job following the "How to be an intern everyone remembers" tips. I do feel that I could ask for more work in the slower parts of the day, but over all I think I am doing really well here.
