Possible Patches P.O.W.
Possible Patches POW:
Problem Statement:
For this problem we were given a square of cloth 17inches x 22 inches and were then told to find the most amount of patches of 3x5, 9x10,5x12 and 10x12 we could cut out of this bit of cloth(this does not include sowing smaller pieces together). Then, changed the size of the initial cloth and found how many 3x5 patches we could fit.
Process:
To begin this problem I started by organizing the smaller pattes so I could fit as many patches as possible down a row. I found which ways the sections needed to be rotated so that they could fit the most possible pieces. I then continued to do this with each new cloth and patch size.

Reflection:
I found this problem challenging at first with the 17x22 cloth and 3x5 patches so I needed to use the habit of being patient and persistent. The reason I had a problem was that I thought I had the most possible squares, but there were people I talked to who had gotten up to 3 more and I couldn’t figure out how they got them to fit, so I used collaborate and listen to find how and if I had gotten the highest number.
