Pizza Slices Problem
For this we were told to cut a circle and get as many slices as possible. Then, using what we found we create a table and a formula.
To begin this problem I drew circles and started to “cut” them and did until I found what I thought was the most slices I could have. Using the information I found I created a table and searched for patterns. The pattern that I found was that the number of slices increased in order(1,2,3...), because of this I had difficulty finding an equation, but after discussing and thinking it over I was able to find an equation.
Data and work:

A problem I ran into while working towards a solution was drawing the circles to small, making it difficult to see smaller slices in the circle. In the end I decided to make my showing work page neat and with the smaller circles, but have scrap paper with bigger easier to see circles.
I found that this problem was very interesting. It was easy at first to try and get as many slices and make the table, but once I got to the equation I had difficulty, but the pattern seemed to be super easy to find. Throughout this problem the two habits of mathematician I used where staying organized because if I hadn’t the circles would be hard to see and so would the pattern which is where the table comes in handy to just keep a running list for when you find the answer. I also used be systematic because I was able to stay organized by doing 1 cut then, 2 then, 3 and so on instead of just jumping around which made it much easier to understand and look back at my past work with other circles showing patterns easier.
